There are multiple different ways to make money through real estate. Here are three of the most common.

Buying a single-family home and renting it out for monthly cash flow. The best strategy would be to make sure the rent covers all the monthly expenses and leaves you with a surplus. The right property in the right location will do that for you.

Multi-family properties are a great way to invest in real estate. Especially, since you can have monthly rent cash flow, but you can also sell each unit as a condo in the future.

The point of this strategy is that you can buy an “older” property that could be undervalued, and you can have income from rent in the short term and over time you can renovate the property to sell at a significantly appreciated price.

There is also the “fixer upper” strategy. This one is time consuming and takes a lot of effort, however, depending on the market (like the one we are in now), the property, and the location, this could be the strategy with the most gains in the short term.
